Born in Lebanon in the 60s, Iliya came to the US to study fashion design in Texas (of all places) and then moved to New York City to work as a fashion artist. Since then his stunning yet simple works have been featured in just about every fashion magazine imaginable.
What I like about this piece the most is how the light shines through the woman but not her clothing. I don’t know why I like that, I just do. Ilya’s simple style is inspiring.
I’d pay $2 to see Ilya at work and watch how he pulls off these silhouettes.
