Coastal scene, Kintyre by Robert Graham in Perthshire, Scotland.
There is no better way to capture a vacation than with a painting. Photos are great but they are too exact. Paintings allow you to remember things how you want to remember them.
This scene of the coast of Loch Fyne in Scotland is probably more about how Graham remembered it – or, at least what he saw instead of what was actually there. I really like the sailboat shadow and the use of blues and purples for shadows instead of just a darker color of green.
Side note: Iโm very much looking forward to my vacation.
